The Goodrich is a historic site first — a 1919 grain elevator in Farmland, Indiana, about 20 minutes east of Muncie in Randolph County. The restored loft hosts private gatherings of up to 40 — small weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, retreats — and revenue from those bookings funds the next phase of preservation.

The Goodrich sits along the rail line at the north end of Main Street in Farmland, Indiana. The exterior and historic tower can be viewed from the public sidewalk any time. Interior access is by private booking or scheduled event.

Private bookings

A restored ~1,000 sq ft space above the mill floor — brick walls, hardwood floors, covered deck with grade-level entry. Hosts gatherings of up to 40.

  • Private, pre-scheduled bookings only
  • Maximum 40 persons
  • No commercial food or beverage sold on-site — bring or arrange your own catering
  • Alcohol is permitted only when served by a permit holder — the renter's own Indiana ATC temporary permit or a hired caterer/bartender with the proper permit. No self-serve.
  • Access limited to the restored loft, deck, and restroom — other areas of the building remain under restoration

No — there is no commercial food or beverage sold on-site, so you bring or arrange your own catering.
Can we have alcohol at our event?
Yes — but only when served by a permit holder. Under Indiana law, the renter must either hold a temporary alcohol permit from the Indiana ATC (in.gov/atc) and have a permitted server pour, or hire a caterer or bartender who already holds the appropriate permit. Self-serve is not allowed in either case.
Is parking available?
Yes — public parking is available along Main Street and adjacent lots in downtown Farmland.
Is the space accessible?
The covered deck has a grade-level entry; the building is 107 years old and some areas have accessibility limitations due to its historic character. Please contact us before booking to discuss specific needs.
What areas of the building are included in a booking?
The restored loft (~1,000 sq ft), the covered deck, and the restroom. Other areas of the building remain under active restoration and are not part of rentals.
